DAR PEOPLE / DARTIX

Terms &
Conditions.

The terms that apply when you use Dar People websites, attend our events, or reserve, pay for and access tickets through DarTix.

Last Updated: 30 September 2026

Dar People is the event and community brand. DarTix — Ticketing by Dar People is our ticketing layer. These Terms & Conditions explain the rules for using our website, ticketing services and event access.

01

Scope & Acceptance

These Terms apply when you visit darpeople.com or tickets.darpeople.com, place or manage a DarTix order, claim approved complimentary access, use My Tickets, or attend an event operated or ticketed by Dar People.

By completing an order, claiming a ticket or using a ticket for entry, you agree to these Terms and any event-specific conditions shown on the event page, during checkout or on the ticket. If an event-specific condition conflicts with these general Terms, the event-specific condition applies to that event to the extent permitted by applicable law.

02

Events & Event-Specific Conditions

Ticket types, prices, quantities, capacity, availability, entry times, cutoffs, age or identification requirements and other conditions may differ by event. Information displayed during purchase or on the issued ticket forms part of the conditions for that event.

A valid ticket does not override venue rules, safety requirements, lawful instructions, event conduct standards or any condition clearly stated for that ticket. Check the event page and the latest version of your ticket before travelling to the venue.

03

Tickets, Availability & Orders

All tickets are subject to availability and event capacity. Adding a ticket to a selection, starting checkout, receiving a payment request or receiving an order reference does not by itself guarantee admission.

A ticket is confirmed only after the required payment has been successfully confirmed and DarTix has issued the ticket.

Dar People may apply reasonable quantity limits and may reject or cancel an incomplete, duplicate, erroneous, fraudulent or abusive order. If a confirmed payment cannot be fulfilled, Dar People will communicate the available process in line with the applicable event terms, circumstances and law.

04

Your Information & Responsibilities

You must provide accurate and current information, including your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number and the correct Mobile Money number. Before payment, review the event, date, ticket type, quantity, price, entry conditions and contact details.

The email connected to an order or approved allocation is used for secure customer access. Incorrect details may delay or prevent payment confirmation, ticket delivery, My Tickets access or support. Contact Dar People promptly if you notice an error.

05

Payments

Mobile Money is the current live DarTix payment method. ClickPesa processes Mobile Money requests with the relevant mobile network or payment provider. A payment remains subject to confirmation by the applicable providers and DarTix.

Dar People does not request or store your Mobile Money PIN. Enter your PIN only in the secure prompt supplied by your Mobile Money provider.

You are responsible for using the correct Mobile Money number, following the provider prompt and checking that the payment result matches your order. Provider or network charges may apply under their own terms.

Card payment is currently Coming Soon. DarTix does not currently present card payment as a live method, and Dar People does not claim to store customer card numbers.

06

Digital Tickets & My Tickets

DarTix tickets are digital. Use My Tickets with the same email connected to the order or approved complimentary allocation. DarTix may use a one-time email code and an authenticated customer session to provide secure access.

Always present the latest ticket displayed in DarTix. A ticket number, QR code or other entry credential may be updated before scanning for security or duplicate-prevention purposes. An old screenshot or previously supplied credential may no longer be the current valid version.

07

Ticket Security, Sharing & Use

Keep ticket codes, QR codes, login codes and customer-access credentials secure. Do not publish, duplicate, manipulate, resell, transfer or share a ticket unless the organiser expressly permits it for that event.

Each ticket is intended for one valid admission unless the ticket or event terms expressly state otherwise. Once successfully admitted or scanned, the same ticket cannot be used for another admission.

Dar People may refuse invalid, duplicated, previously used, fraudulently obtained, altered or manipulated ticket credentials. If you believe a ticket has been exposed or misused, contact Dar People as soon as possible; replacement or restoration is not guaranteed.

08

Complimentary Access

Complimentary access is private and available only to customers specifically approved by Dar People. Possession of a private link alone does not create an entitlement.

The authenticated email must match the approved allocation. An approved allocation may be claimed only as permitted by that allocation and, where stated, only once. Complimentary tickets remain subject to the same ticket-security, event-entry, venue and conduct rules that apply to other valid tickets.

09

Event Entry, Venue Rules & Conduct

Admission is subject to a current valid ticket, event and ticket conditions, venue rules, safety and security requirements, applicable capacity, and lawful instructions from authorised event or venue staff.

You are responsible for arriving within the entry conditions shown for your event or ticket and for bringing any identification or supporting information specifically required. Age limits, check-in cutoffs, late-entry arrangements, top-ups and door-ticket rules apply only when stated for that event; there is no universal Dar People rule for them.

Dar People or the venue may refuse or remove a person whose conduct creates a safety risk, disrupts the event, breaches stated rules or violates applicable law. You remain responsible for your personal belongings and travel arrangements.

10

Schedules, Line-Ups & Event Changes

Event schedules, performers, DJs, programmes, venues and operational details may change where reasonably necessary. Dar People will use reasonable channels to communicate material updates, but customers should also review the event page, ticket and transactional messages before attending.

If an event is postponed, rescheduled, cancelled or materially changed, Dar People will communicate the process that applies to affected ticket holders based on the event terms, circumstances and applicable law.

11

Refunds, Cancellations & Rescheduling

Refund, cancellation, postponement or rescheduling treatment depends on the applicable event terms, the circumstances and applicable law. A change of mind, failure to attend or failure to meet a stated entry condition does not automatically create a right to a refund.

Where an event is cancelled or materially changed, Dar People will tell affected ticket holders what options or process apply. Where no refund or other remedy is required by the event terms or applicable law, the ticket sale may remain final.

Nothing in these Terms limits any customer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12

Communications

Dar People and its service providers may send necessary transactional or service communications through the email address, phone or WhatsApp number you provide. These may concern orders, payment status, tickets, authentication, security, event changes, entry information or customer support.

Transactional communications are separate from marketing. Dar People will send news or promotional messages where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted. You may withdraw a marketing preference without stopping communications necessary to service an existing order, ticket or event.

13

Photography & Recording at Events

Photography, audio recording and video recording may take place at Dar People events for event coverage, security, community storytelling and promotion. Event-specific notices or permissions may provide additional details.

Attendees may appear incidentally in crowd or atmosphere footage. If you have a concern, speak to authorised event staff where practical or contact Dar People after the event. Any use remains subject to applicable law.

14

Website, Service Providers & Availability

Dar People uses Squarespace for the website layer, Supabase for backend, database and authentication infrastructure, and ClickPesa for Mobile Money payment processing. Mobile networks and other providers may also be involved in delivering payment or communication services.

We aim to keep Dar People and DarTix services available and accurate, but uninterrupted or error-free access cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, provider outages, connectivity problems or circumstances outside reasonable control may temporarily affect checkout, authentication, My Tickets or other services.

15

Responsibility

Dar People will take reasonable care in operating its website, ticketing flow and events. Customers remain responsible for their own devices, connectivity, travel, accommodation, personal belongings, account access and compliance with the conditions described in these Terms.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Dar People is not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate customer information, unauthorised sharing of ticket credentials, failure to follow payment or entry instructions, third-party service interruption, or events outside reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits responsibility that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

16

Intellectual Property

Dar People and DarTix names, branding, page designs, event materials, text, graphics and other original content are owned by or licensed to Dar People. You may use the website and ticket materials for personal access to the relevant services and events.

You may not copy, reproduce, sell, impersonate, misuse or commercially exploit protected content without permission, except where applicable law allows it.

17

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how Dar People collects, uses, shares, secures and retains personal information across the website, DarTix and events. By using these services, you acknowledge that this information will be handled as described in that policy and under applicable law.

18

Changes to These Terms

Dar People may update these Terms when services, event operations, providers or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Terms in effect when an order is confirmed will normally continue to apply to that order, subject to event-specific updates, changes reasonably required for safety or operations, and applicable law.

19

Contact

For a question about these Terms, an order, a ticket or an event, contact Dar People. Include enough non-sensitive information for us to identify the matter. Never send your Mobile Money PIN or one-time login code.
